Our beloved Dixie crossed over the Rainbow Bridge today.  Dixie was our wonderful partner and family member for more than a dozen years.  Sowilling to please, she taught herself obedience by just watching Sharon train our Sunny.  She later became my agility instructor after Dixie had earned her MX and MXJ with Sharon.  She switched to Preferred to teach me, and with just a little help from me, she earned a PAX.  But Dixie has a very special place in our hearts because it was Dixie who warned Sharon, and convinced her to go get that overdue mammogram.  Through Dixie's perseverance,  Sharon's breast cancer was found early, before the doctor's would have found it by any means other than the mammogram.  For that, and all the love and fun she provided us, Dixie will always be out companion dog extraordinaire.  Good bye, Dixie.
